The Twin Lakes Association will tap up to $100,000 of reserve funds to meet expenses for the full year, according to projections that will be discussed at the annual meeting Aug. 8. This is why the board maintains reserve funds. But it underscores the need for continued financial support from the community.
The projections call for total expenditures of $475,000 and income of $375,000 for 2026. Projections for 2027 show expenditures of $450,000 with income of $450,000. Earlier projections had the 2026 expenditures at $500,000. So, expenses have begun to edge lower as progress has been made in the battle with hydrilla.

The annual meeting begins at 10 a.m. at Isola Bella, rain or shine. It will be followed by a picnic lunch, and Twin Lakes Day starts at 1 p.m. The picnic and Twin Lakes Day have a rain date of Aug. 9.
If you cannot attend the meeting, you can vote on several issues by completing and returning the proxy. Please give the proxy to someone who is going to the meeting, or scan it and mail to president@twinlakesorg.org, or text a photo of it to 617-733-8857 before Aug. 8.
Repeated bear sightings around the lakes this summer prompt us to remind everyone to keep garbage as inaccessible as possible. The state monitors bear activity and invites you to report sightings here.
